Hassam holds a BACP-Accredited Master of Science degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, from Keele University, School of Medicine. He was awarded a ‘Distinction’ class for both his MSc. and his dissertation which explored ‘self-worth’ and social comparisons. He is a Level 1 Certified T.E.A.M CBT therapist, working towards Level 2 and Level 3 certification. He has a passion for a deeply empathic practice of CBT for his clients, and aims to leverage his varied past experiences to better connect with clients presenting with a range of challenges. He has significant experience in the helping professions, having worked as a teacher. , career counsellor, and educational consultant in the past. For his clinical placement during his training at Keele, he worked with the NHS, Healthbox CIC, Age UK Wirral, and the Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College.
